How Do I Discern God's Will?
"What shall I do, Lord?" I asked (Acts 22:10). God no longer appears to us in the middle of the night to reveal His will like in Samuel's case. Neither does He send the angels from heaven with a message, or send letters falling from heaven to let us know what He expects from us. How can I possibly know what God's will is? First of all your heart must be in a condition where it knows no will of its own in any matter. When we are willing to obey God's will, we have already solved ninetenths of the problem. Once you have reached that stage, you are not very far from finding out what God wants you to do. You don't allow yourself to be led by your feelings or emotions because you know it is easy to be deceived. Search the Scriptures to find God's will because the Spirit and the Word must work closely together in this process.
