Failure - The Door To Success
"I am making everything new!" (Revelation 21:5).
Nobody is ever a failure until he accepts himself as one. Maybe your business is gradually falling apart, or your marriage is under a lot of strain. Perhaps everything worthwhile in life seems out of reach. You may have reached a crossroad and are now wondering if it is worth keeping on or if it would not perhaps be better to throw in the towel. In unpleasant situations like this there are certain dangers that you should try to avoid. Always be aware of bitterness that might take root in your spirit. Perhaps you have been wronged, but if you allow yourself to become bitter, you will not be able to think straight or act constructively. No matter what setbacks you have experienced, don't add bitterness, as it will only increase the damage. Also avoid feeling sorry for yourself. It will Rob you of your determination to start anew and achieve success. It will make your so-called failure a reality that will in turn become obvious to everybody. Rather be honest with yourself: examine yourself and elevate your situation realistically. If you have acted unwisely, admit it openly. This is the point of departure into a new victorious life. Concentrate on your assets: your self-respect, your will to achieve success, your loved ones who still believe in you, and your ability to complete a task successfully. No matter how feeble these things might seem to you, they will direct you on the road to success. The lessons that failure teachers you might be expensive, but if they draw you closer to God, they are worth it. In this way your failures become the doorway to success.
Holy Spirit, teach me through Your power to conquer my failures and to rise above them to a new life in Christ. Amen.
